What was not tested

The initial type testing did not cover chemical composition (including SiO2), acid-soluble sulfates, total sulfur, shell content, particle shape or freeze-thaw resistance. The report notes the presence of shells in the sample. If your use needs any of these, tell us and we will discuss testing.

Source of the data

Initial type testing to EN 12620, AG-CEL Laboratory (Chojnice, Poland), report 20200916/582/19/01, September 2020. Declaration of Performance to EN 12620:2002+A1:2008, AVCP System 4, CE marking. The DoP is available in Polish and English. New tests are in progress and this page will be updated when results are available.

Converting volume and weight

One cubic metre of loose sand weighs about 1.59 t, compacted about 1.80 t. One tonne of loose sand is about 0.63 m³. Moist sand from the stockpile weighs more because of the water it holds. We sell by the tonne, weighed by the loader scale on site.

Questions and answers

Is the laboratory accredited?

The report comes from AG-CEL Laboratory, a member of the POLLAB club. The documents do not state accreditation, so we do not claim it.

Can I get the full test report?

Yes. We send the test report and the Declaration of Performance with every quote on request.

Need sand?

Tell us how many tonnes, where and when. We reply with a price and a date.
