Precast and prestressed concrete
In precast, concrete is demoulded fast, often after heat curing. Changes in fines and moisture in the sand show up in water demand, workability and early strength. In prestressed elements, chloride is a concern for the strand.
Our sand has 0.4 % fines (f3), water-soluble chloride below 0.01 % and alkali-silica reactivity grade 0. It is CE marked to EN 12620.
Dry mortar and adhesives
Dry mortar plants usually dry and screen sand on their own lines. They need low fines, no organic matter and reliable volume. Our 0/4 sand is fine in practice: 89.8 % passes 1 mm and 96.7 % passes 2 mm. Humus is below the limit value.
We supply moist sand in bulk, straight from the stockpile. We do not dry or bag.
One deposit, one process
All sand comes from one stretch of the Vistula riverbed near Konczewice. A cutter suction dredger lifts it, the slurry passes a dewatering screen, and the sand drains on the yard before loading. Batches are not mixed with sand from other pits.
Volume and price
The dredger delivers about 330 t/h. We currently extract about 1,000 tonnes every 3 hours and production capacity is about 2 million tonnes a year. The base price is from PLN 27 per tonne net, loaded at the pit. Annual contracts and delivered or EUR prices are quoted individually.
Aerated concrete (AAC)
AAC producers mill the sand and react it with lime in the autoclave, so they check chemical composition, especially silica. We have no SiO2 analysis yet and do not claim the sand is quartz sand. If you run an AAC plant, we can arrange material for testing in your own laboratory.
Questions and answers
Do you have a factory production control certificate?
No. The Declaration of Performance is issued under AVCP System 4, with no notified body. If your specification requires more, tell us in your enquiry.
Do you offer 0/2 sand?
We sell 0/4. Its grading is fine, with 96.7 % passing 2 mm. Check the sieve curve on the technical data page.
