Where the sand comes from

The Bystrze-Konczewice pit is in the Miloradz municipality, Pomeranian Voivodeship, northern Poland. The deposit is in the Vistula riverbed, next to the national road DK22 bridge between Malbork and Tczew.

Extraction runs under a water permit from Polish Waters (Wody Polskie), valid until 30 January 2030. Under the permit, dredging takes place from April to October.

Routes to the buyer

  • Road: DK22 connects to the A1 motorway and the S7 expressway, both leading to Gdansk
  • Sea: 55 km to the Coal Quay (Nabrzeze Weglowe) in the Port of Gdansk, then bulk shipment to Scandinavia and the Baltic states
  • River: barge loading at the pit is possible, subject to water levels; low water in summer and ice in winter can stop navigation

Volumes

We currently extract about 1,000 tonnes every 3 hours. Production capacity is about 2 million tonnes a year. That supports a single vessel load or an annual contract of hundreds of thousands of tonnes.

For export contracts we agree a loading schedule in advance, so the sand has time to drain on the stockpile before it goes to the port.

Price and terms

The base price is from PLN 27 per tonne net, loaded onto trucks at the pit. For export we quote in EUR. Delivery terms, port handling, freight and payment are agreed individually for each contract.

Tell us the tonnage, destination port, period and intended use. We reply with a price and a schedule.

Documents in English

The Declaration of Performance is available in English and Polish, with CE marking to EN 12620 under AVCP System 4. The initial type testing report and the water permit are in Polish. CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation is recognised across the EU and the EEA.
